Abstract

Abstract: BACKGROUND ＆ AIM: To study the acute toxicity and genetic toxicity of Solanum nigrum L juice. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Acute toxicity test of mice ,Ames test, micronucleus rest of bone marrow PCE cell in mice, sperm shape abnormality test of mice. RESULTS: Solanum Nigrum L Juice was a substance with no toxicity according to the acute toxicity. The results of genetic toxicity tests were all negative, including Ames test ,micronucleus rest and sperm shape abnormality test. CONCLUSION: Solanum Nigrum L Juice was a substance with no toxicity and had no genetic toxicity in this test.
